"EDUCATION IS NOT THE FILLING OF A BUCKET,
BUT THE LIGHTING OF A FIRE"

-W B Yeats

"
It is the quality of our experiences, the satisfaction, excitement, or joy that we get or fail to get from them, that will determine how those experiences change us – in short, what we learn.
"

J. Holt

HISTORY

The establishment of Al Manarah Schools was driven by the desire to provide a genuine, inspirational education. An alternative to schooling that instills a dread of learning in our youth. The founder of Al Manarah Schools felt the responsibility to nurture his children in a way that would never hinder, or debilitate their natural intuitiveness, curiosity, and genuine love for learning. Not wanting to limit his efforts to his own children, he strives to develop an education that would promote this exciting vision.

The name 'Al Manarah', literally meaning, 'the Light House', or something that emanates light, was chosen as this 'light' represents knowledge, wisdom, and an illumination which we hope will carry the student, with confidence, through all challenges of life.
