WHY IN ARABIA

The establishment of Al Manarah International School in Arabia, in particular the United Arab Emirates, allows the education to have strong moorings to the proud culture, heritage, religion and language of Arabia. The people of this region have reminiscence of virtues which have bean lost in other cultures if still recognized at all. Wilfred Thesiger, who is considered to be the last of the great explorers, traversed the sands of Arabia during the late 1940s, reflects in his account of his epic journey, "I shall always remember how often I was humbled by illiterate herdsman who possessed, in so much greater measure than I, generosity and courage, endurance, patience, and lighthearted gallantry. Among no other people have I ever felt the same sense of personal inadequacy"

It is described that Thesiger has always regarded his five years with the Bedouin in Arabia as the most important and rewarding years of his life. We hope this will be the same for those students who take the challenge of education with Al Manarah Schools.

Additionally, the present day U.A.E. is the crossroads of the world and offers a rich mosaic of many different cultures living in harmony in a country that boasts the lowest crime rate in the world. When students leave our environment and visit other parts of the world, their cultural exposure and diverse experience here will enable them to interact and communicate with comfort and confidence.
